Antivirus Survivors Demo Guide — What's Playable Before Launch
A public demo of Antivirus Survivors 2003 Professional is live on Steam. Demo Update 1.2 officially confirmed the Heat, Lag and Infect status effects.
Where to get the demo
The demo is free — open the official Steam store page and look for the Download Demo button. No key claiming, no sign-up beyond Steam.
What Demo Update 1.2 confirmed
The developer’s Demo Update 1.2 is the reason this wiki can state the following as fact, not guesswork:
- Firewall applies Heat to enemies.
- Paint applies Lag to enemies.
- Bubbles applies Infect to enemies.
Heat, Lag and Infect are the game’s officially named status effects — the full picture, including what each state does to enemies, is in the status effects guide.
What the demo is good for before September 28
- Learning the run rhythm — the full game’s runs run 30–40 minutes; the demo gives you the loop without the full-length commitment.
- Testing the weapon feel — Pinball, Firewall, Bubbles and Paint are among the publicly named weapons, and we cover each in the weapons database.
- Meeting the systems — plugins via the Plugin Installer and the file-type economy are introduced in the demo context. Start with the plugins hub and file types hub.
Demo limitations
What the demo does not represent: the full 24-weapon roster, all 50 drivers, 62 plugins, 33 file types, 5 protocols, 15 policies or the 6 bosses. Those are full-release content, and this wiki re-verifies all of it from launch day.
FAQ
Does demo progress carry over to the full game? Not confirmed. Nothing official states that demo progress, unlocks or BeanZ transfer. We’ll test and document it at launch.
Is the demo on Steam Deck? The full game is Steam Deck Verified per the developer’s September 17, 2026 announcement — see the Steam Deck guide. Demo-specific Deck behavior is not separately documented.
